UPSA is the leading association of utility professionals focused on strengthening public safety programs across the electric and natural gas industries. Its members include public safety managers and professionals from legal, claims, risk management, damage prevention, and corporate communications.
Founded as a grassroots organization, UPSA started by connecting utility professionals through teleconferences and webinars to share public safety best practices. What began as virtual collaboration has grown into a highly anticipated annual national meeting that brings together members from all over the country.
Since 2000, UPSA members have worked collaboratively to help shape industry standards for public safety outreach. Through shared research, program insights, and data-driven analysis, UPSA supports utilities in improving safety education, reducing incidents, and better serving their customers.
