Regional Utility Public Safety Meetings
For nearly two decades, UPSA has provided electric and natural gas utilities a collaborative environment for promoting utility public safety and incident prevention, culminating in an annual two- to three-day meeting where industry issues are discussed and new concepts at increasing public awareness are explored.
There is a growing need for locally focused forums as well, and UPSA is addressing this want by offering one-day regional meetings. The participants there will be sharing best practices and discuss industry trends that impact them on a local and national level. The regional meetings will be attended by safety, claims/risk, communications, legal and public awareness/damage prevention personnel.
Participants tell us that the biggest benefit for them is that the meetings are informative, fun, and valuable—they provide an opportunity to connect with other like-minded utility folks that care about safety.
We encourage you to identify and participate in the meeting for your region. There are no fees to attend these meetings, and you will have an opportunity to expand your awareness of the issues and identify new solutions to common problems.
